Mission Statement

To provide an Integrated Pest Management service by ensuring a safe environment for the University of Michigan community. We will implement a high degree of specialized professional services while minimizing disturbance to students, faculty, staff, and guests.

The University of Michigan’s Pest Management Specialists service the Ann Arbor, Dearborn campuses and outlying facilities. Our specialists will design a custom Integrated Pest Management Plan for your facilities needs in accordance with the Michigan Department of Agriculture (MDA). Each of our specialists is fully licensed by the Michigan Department of Agriculture in categories 7a (General Pest Management) and 7b (Wood Destroying Pests).

Pest Management Services in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture provides IPM training, insect identification seminars, and treatment strategies for other Plant Operation divisions, pest control companies and various institutions throughout Michigan. Pest Management Services is currently teamed with the MDA in several outreach programs such as; Community Pesticide Education Program, Community Action Against Asthma, the Washtenaw County West Nile Virus Task Force and offer assistance to programs such as the Parents Together Organization.
