- There are approximately 40,000 locking doors on campus. On average, over 14,700 keys are issued each year. Slightly over 7,500 keys are returned each year.
- We maintain and test over 57,280 fire protection devices and 2,620 sprinkler valves.
- 1600 fume hoods are maintained by Plant Operations.
- The 800Mhz trunked radio system consists of 3 towers, nearly 1,650 radio units and 6 dispatch consoles at the Department of Public Safety and some units are configured to interface with the Washtenaw County 800 Mhz radio system. On a typical day, the system handles over 10,750 calls.
- There are over 650 users authorized access to the Plant Operations Facility Management System (FMS).
- In 2008, the Plant Operations computer network consists of 61 unit specific servers, 461 desk workstations, and 72 laptops in addition to 3 home computers. There are 719 Plant Operations employees with computer accounts. A team of 7 system administrators and 2 webmasters support the Plant Operations computer network.
