The new FMS (FMAX) has arrived!
The newest version of our Facility Management System (FMS), FMAX, will be implemented this weekend. Below is key information about the FMAX application and the deployment process:
Important Dates & Times:
Friday 2/27/09
Noon - No new POs entered into FMS after 12:00 noon
9pm - The FMS system and Plant Web site links to FMS forms will be taken down.
Saturday 2/28/09
Noon - FMAX available to limited number of POCC and PPAPO users
Monday 3/2/09
6am - FMAX available to all users
What should you do before Monday?
- Attend FMAX user training
- Make sure you know your UM Unique ID and Kerberos password
- Turn off your PC before going home Friday so you will get the new FMAX desktop icons when you power up on Monday.
What if you have problems on Monday?
- Your first contact should be to the person that conducted your training session.
- If your trainer cannot resolve your issue, please contact the Plant IT team at either number below:

Additional information:
- The way to print Work Orders has changed slightly from what was covered in training.
- Attached is a short overview of how to print WOs; FMAX Work Order Prinintg.docx
- Security within the FMAX application is different than in FMS. Some people may have less access to some parts of the FMAX application than they did in FMS. A team to review all FMAX security access will be set up in the near future to evaluate security needs. Please contact Plant IT at the numbers listed above if you have an immediate business need for additional access.
- You will need to install a software module on your PC the first time you access the Crystal Report Browser, see the instructions; Crystal Reports Browser.pdf
- Information and links to FMAX, documentation and other applications will be available Monday.
