| 10:30 | FCA reports, Part 1: The FCA Infrastructure To Do List (Kathleen Thomson, Mike Bowen) UM Plant maintains a large database of deferred maintenance projects, by building, prioritized in importance. Up until now, very few facility managers have known about or used this important database. In addition facility managers have traditionally not given any input into the prioritization process. This talk is the first in a 3-part series of talks to educate facilities people about the database, the deferred maintenance process, and reports to be derived from the information. You will be able to try out the database over several months, ask questions and become conversant with this topic. At the end we will develop a standardized building report which facility managers can customize for their situation. This can be used to track information and to educate Deans/Directors about the important issues concerning your buildings. |
