Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC)
AEC plans and manages the design and construction of new facilities, additions, renovations, utility and infrastructure improvements. By managing the design and construction of campus projects, AEC assures that all projects will be constructed in accordance with University and State of Michigan criteria for quality design including economics of construction and operation.
Business & Finance Diversity Committee
Since 1992, the Business & Finance Diversity Committee has worked to create an environment that values, challenges, and respects all employees.
Department of Public Safety (DPS)
The Department of Public Safety contributes to and promotes a safe and secure community, while respecting the rights and dignity of all persons utilizing facilities and programs of the University of Michigan.
Facilities and Operations
More than 1,600 employees work together throughout five units of Facilities and Operations to help the University community provide world-class opportunities for education, research and public service. F&O has primary responsibility for the stewardship of the University's physical properties valued in excess of $2.6 billion, including more than 28 million square feet of building space, as well as associated environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
Facilities Users Network
During the Plant Operations' strategic planning process, we learned that our stakeholders (facilities managers and coordinators) were interested in establishing a group for facilities managers. Under the guidance of Bob Johnston (LS&A) and John Keedy (CoE) and the Steering Committee (comprised of other stakeholders and members of the Plant Operations Lead Team), the Facilities Users Network was launched in June 2001. The group meets the last Thursday morning of each month (except July and August).
International Union of Operating Engineers
IUOE Local 547 works hard to provide the best representation and training opportunities for its members, while continuing to grow and strengthen through organizing.
Occupational Safety & Environmental Health
OSEH and its specialized program areas lead the University and support the surrounding community through partnership, guidance, and education to promote health, safety, protection and enhancement of the environment, and regulatory compliance.
Parking & Transportation Services
Parking and Transportation is responsible for providing the campus community with safe, reliable transportation options and safe, convenient parking choices.
UM AFSCME Employees Union
The University of Michigan Employees Union: AFSCME Local 1583 Representing Employees in the University of Michigan System, including the University of Michigan Hospital and all 3 U of M campuses.

UM Housing Facilities
The mission of University Housing is to create and sustain diverse learning-centered residential communities that further the goals of the University. Through partnerships with others in the University community, Housing Facilities provides quality programs, services and facilities.
UM Skilled Trades Union
The University of Michigan Skilled Trades Union, Inc. represents 30 Trade classifications with membership approaching 500 "Skilled Trades" men and women.

Work~Connections is an integrated disability services program designed by the University of Michigan to assist and support you when you experience an illness or injury, during the subsequent recovery, and through your successful return to work.
