WHO SHOULD ATTEND PLANT ACADEMY PROGRAMS?

Plant Academy develops, delivers, and oversees training for U-M Plant Operations. Certificate courses offered at Plant Academy are designed for supervisors and managers to support and expand knowledge, skills, and continuous improvement. Individual coursework may be attended by non-supervisory employees of Plant Operations based on their department’s training policy and individual learning plans outlined and approved within the LearnerWeb system. Most coursework and certificate programs are also open to Facilities and Operations (F&O) employees outside Plant and to members of the Facility Users Network (FUN group). Plant Academy classes are not open to temporary employees.

Plant Employees: Register via LearnerWeb: http://lweb.plantops.umich.edu/. If you do not have access, please contact your supervisor or your TACS Rep for assistance.

Non-Plant Employees: Register via:

Photography

Occasionally, we take pictures of the participants and the faculty for our catalog and other promotional materials. If you do not want your photo taken while in session, please let us know prior to the class. Seating arrangements can be made.

• Plant Operations Computer Training Room (POCTR):
  Computer training is held in the PlantOps Computer Training Room at Building Services, 109 E. Madison, Room 2140
• Heiber Conference Room:
  Located at North Campus Plant Services Building, 3231 Baxter
• Kipke Conference Center:
  Located on the second floor of the Campus Safety Services Building at 1239 Kipke Drive
• Individual Departments:
  Customized training in individual departments
