The Manager Menu will appear below your personal LearnerWeb menu (My Menu).
The Manager Menu provides access to screens and functions not accessible by general users in Plant.
Two tabs in the Manager Menu are where most supervisors and managers will spend their LearnerWeb time – the “People” and “Course Approvals” tabs.

“People” Tab on the Manager Menu

A click onto the People Tab brings up a list of the employees assigned to your shop. This list is populated by a daily FMS feed.

If errors are detected in your employee list, please contact FMS help at ‘PO-DI-FMSHelp’ or ph. 7-4357; or if you are unable to see the list of employees in your shop, contact FMS help.

The button to the right of an employee name provides a view for numerous records, including

• the individual’s training history
• the learning tracks to which they are assigned

The button in the toolbar is the Add History wizard. Mini-courses have been scheduled in Plant Operations during August and September 2008 for training on how to add training history. If you missed the class, you will need to find written instructions in the supervisor toolkit or contact your TACS rep for a tutorial.

“Course Approval” Tab on the Manager Menu

LearnerWeb automatically sends email notification to the supervisor when an employee has requested enrollment. All emails include a LearnerWeb link for quick action. Sample email:

Go to LearnerWeb and login. From there, select the Course Approvals tab.

• Click on the from the toolbar above the listing of enrollment requests
  
  
  
  
• You will see a chart outlining employee enrollment request(s). Initially, all the lines will be darkened. (not shown below)
• You need to select one line by clicking on it. In the sample below, the request for Professional Presentation Skills was selected.
• After clicking on the ONE employee name and course request line, only one line remains darkened. This is the course in which you are about to take action.
• select from the approve/decline button options
  
  
  
  
• click Next
• the site will take you to a confirming screen -- check your action here. Is it accurate?
• If this is not correct, then you need to go back.
• If accurate, proceed to a final step by clicking “Next”.
  
  
  
  

The screen confirms your intended action has taken place. You have completed the process for this employee and their course request.
