Donations Rising!

Many thanks from the American Red Cross to the Plant Operations staff for your consistent and dedicated efforts to assist the sick and injured people in the community.

We are pleased to report that blood donations from Plant Operations staff increased from thirty-one donors (in February 2002) to forty-seven at the April blood drive. Forty pints of life-saving blood were collected, giving 120 hospital patients a chance to regain their health.

Of the forty-seven registered participants, three were first time donors. We were not able to have our June Blood Drive due to the extended heat wave.

For those interested in collectibles, the American Red Cross will continue to give its 2002 limited edition pins to all participating donors this year.

The next Blood drive is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8 in the Student Theatre Arts Complex. Call Betty Alberts at 4.2742 or send Betty Alberts (get address) (38.107.191.117) to sign up for a donation time. Remember… it takes a hero to help save a life!
